Crissair is looking for an entry level Packaging/Shipping Clerk to join our team!

Summary
Responsible for planning, preparing, and packing product for shipment in accordance with customer and industry specifications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
•    Package standard assemblies and components per blueprint and routing requirements.
•    Review routing instructions and update as required.
•    Provide shipping data for billing.
•    Support receiving clerk as needed.
•    Update and properly close work orders by recording time incurred and quantity shipped in ERP system.
•    Construct nonstandard boxes or containers as required.  
•    Select materials for packing and protection of product and method of bracing or blocking to prevent shifting or damage while in transit.
•    Check package contents against packing list to ensure all parts are included.
•    Apply labels as required.
•    Keep track of daily job flow in accordance with dispatch report and backlog report.
•    Set up labels on bagging machine and coordinate maintenance and repair of machine as needed.
•    Maintain sufficient stock of packaging supplies in the area and order supplies as needed.
•    Assist with shipping tasks to include processing orders.
•    Set up uni-pack labels of Zebra machine and for bag and tag.
•    Seek and document lean process improvement ideas.

Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
•    High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); up to one month related experience or training.

Language Skills
•    Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
•    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
•    Ability to write in simple correspondence.  
•    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees.

Math Skills
•    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
•    Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Skills
•    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.  
•    Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer/ Office / Technical Skills
•    Basic windows/internet browser
•    ERP/Inventory
•    Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point
•    Typing
