FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  Reports To: Warehouse Manager 
Job Type: Regular  Amount of Travel Required: Minimal 
Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm & 9am-6pm  Positions Supervised: None 
   

 
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Lead, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, cycle counting, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of products for delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly. 
Verify the quantity and description of parts received by checking merchandise with the packing list. 
Prepare a receiving report if none is available. 
Examine incoming shipments and reject damaged items; appropriately report/record any discrepancies. 
Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner. 
Enter quantity received from the purchase order into the computer system, print barcode labels and receiving receipts, and put stock away list into the designated locations. 
Attach identifying tags/bar labels to parts coming in for stock. 
Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers. 
Prepare all shipping documentation. 
Review all orders to determine if they are picked correctly. 
Sign the check off list to insure parts are pulled correctly. 
Ensure warehouse/equipment is maintained on a weekly basis. 
Safely operate all the necessary equipment in warehouse. 
Accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on the cycle count list. 
Make sure all Hazmat orders are shipped out accurately.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
 
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
 
Experience:
3 plus years of experience in warehousing and distribution
 
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office Suite. 
 
 
Other Requirements: Ability to operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices.
Certification of lift-truck equipment.
