Job Description
Responsibilities:
Work in the residential mortgage finance sector, perform transaction analysis including analysis of collateral, deal structure and legal issues. Focus on key credit issues during the new issue rating process, including the implementation of credit adjustments in expected loss and cash flow models/tools as a result of pandemics or other credit related events. Make in-person or virtual presentations in credit committee discussions. Develop and maintain proprietary cash flow models on Intex and Excel. Test cash flows to confirm accuracy and robustness of cash flow models. Conduct scenario/sensitivity analysis and stress testing and communicate analysis to senior staff and colleagues. Assist with analysis to evaluate credit profile and performance of securities. Review related legal documents. Act as a lead or back-up analyst on structured finance transactions, present analysis to rating committee. Participate in criteria development and enhancement of structured finance models. Participate in external meetings with bankers, investors and originators. 10% domestic travel is required.

Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or BBA with concentration in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field and 3 years of relevant analytical experience in residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS). This position also requires: experience with residential mortgage credit; experience with securitization structures used by RMBS issuers; experience with the legal documents used in the sector; experience with written and verbal presentation of credit analysis; familiarity with structured products market and technical expertise in using fixed income analytical systems such as Intex (Dealmaker, Calc) and Bloomberg; and 3 years of experience working with (i) large excel spreadsheets incorporating advanced Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, and SUMPRODUCT; (ii) Pivot Tables; (iii) Visual Basic for Applications; (iv) SQL or similar software; (v) Corelogic /1010 Data.
