Summary

The Lead Associate, Mid-Level Supporter Experience is responsible for managing the personal outreach strategy for individuals with the current capability of making mid-level gifts between $1,000 and $9,999; with a focus on growing the program, which currently generates more than $10 million in annual revenue. This position will partner with the Advisor to develop and implement engagement strategy across all channels. In conjunction with the Advisor, they will also lead the development and manage the execution of an integrated multi-channel fundraising campaigns and engagement streams, including welcome communications and ongoing stewardship efforts. This position is also responsible for developing relationships with top tier donors through phone outreach and written correspondence in order to meet donors’ philanthropic goals and upgrade their annual giving.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Overall Mid-Level Outreach (30%):

  • Partner with the Advisor to develop and implement engagement strategy across all channels with the goal of increasing retention and upgrading annual giving
  • In conjunction with the Advisor, lead the development and manage the execution of an integrated multi-channel engagement stream including welcome communications and ongoing stewardship efforts
  • Collaborate with mid-level team members to ensure a cohesive acknowledgment program.
  • Work in collaboration with the digital team to optimize and update the Leadership Circle landing page as a way to further engage our mid-level donors with relevant content.
  • Partner with the Advisor to develop and implement stewardship plans for assigned top-tier mid-level donors. Manage all aspects of donor stewardship for assigned donors by establishing a personal donor contact schedule and building strong relationships; leveraging telephone calls, written correspondence and possible in-person visits.

Manage Concierge Programs (25%):

  • Partner with the Advisor, to develop and implement the Concierge programs with the goal of increasing retention, annual giving and contact rates.
  • Oversee and provide day-to-day management of Concierge programs with various vendors.
  • Work in collaboration with the internal analytics team to develop actionable reporting to benchmark and measure effectiveness of Concierge program.
  • Partner with the Advisor, to develop/maintain regular deliverables (reports, dashboards, benchmark reports, etc.) on key metrics in order to continually improve program.

Mid-Level Direct Response Campaign Management (25%):

  • Day-to-day execution of direct response marketing campaigns; mostly as it relates to direct mail.
  • Manage production schedules with printers, creative agencies, data processor and internal stakeholders with the purpose of ensuring campaigns are executed successfully and timely.
  • Streamline processes and maximize operational effectiveness to increase fundraising, retention and reactivation metrics.
  • Track all creative updates and changes, and facilitate the flow between Save the Children and external vendors/internal departments.
  • Obtain project/campaign/material legal approvals by acting as lead contact and knowledge base for legal approval process.
  • Support with setup of campaign matrix and setup of appeals and data requests to our IT department
  • Manage lettershop instructions and ensure all data processing and scheduling of campaigns is executed successfully and accurately with high operational performance and efficient agency interdepartmental collaboration

 Budget Management & Performance Analysis (15%):

  • Responsible for mid-level stewardship budget creation and monitoring spend, including determining appropriate level of investments to drive improvements
  • Work in collaboration with team to develop actionable reporting to benchmark and measure effectiveness of mid-level strategies.
  • Develop/maintain regular deliverables (reports, dashboards, benchmark reports, etc.) on key metrics in order to continually improve program.

Ad Hoc Projects (5%):

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with fundraising to build relationships and acquire donations from mid-level donors.
  • Proven success handling multiple competing priorities with successful delivery within tight timelines
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive research and in-depth prospect analysis that produced actionable results.
  • Ability to comprehend financial reports and provide wealth analyses.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite 
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Blackbaud BBEC system
  • Experience with direct mail campaigns
  • Proven and demonstrated experience leading complex projects in a fast paced environment
