Linxx Global Solutions, Inc. (Linxx) is currently seeking a Waterborne Security Boat Instructor at Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in support of the U.S. Navy Center for Security Forces.

Responsibilities
Instruct the following high-risk training courses: Level II Coxswain Operations and Tactics; Harbor Security Boat Training Supervisor; and Amphibious Ready Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Boat Crew Team Training
Conduct training 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (daily activity may extend up to 10 hours), as well as student remediation
Deliver training in accordance with the government-approved curriculum; if required, identify changes to the curriculum using a formal process through the proper chain of command
Provide student performance information and participate in U.S. Navy Academic Review Board Procedures if required
Maintain decorum, order, and safety in the training environment at all times
Participate in all aspects of training delivery preparations and execution, including classroom preparation, student administration, test proctoring, and safety procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in the logistical movement of small craft and associated gear
Experience in tactical operations planning, military decision making, organizational and individual planning, patrol coordination, concepts of operation, warning, patrol, and mission briefing
Capability to perform all training evolutions, including effectively completing weapons qualifications, in the standing, kneeling, and prone positions
Ability to ascend or descend ladders and go through narrow passageways without any abnormal fear of heights
Required Qualifications
Current COVID vaccination required or ability to receive one
Navy Instructor Training Course (or military service equivalent), academic credentialing (teacher/professor), or instructor via academic institution (Tidewater Community College MILT 5100 meets the requirements listed above)
A minimum of three years of documented operational security boat experience serving in one of the following:
U.S. Navy Harbor Security Maritime Detachment
U.S. Navy Coastal Riverine Forces Detachment
U.S. Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman (SWCC)
U.S. Marine Corps Small Craft Company
U.S. Coast Guard Shore-Based Boat Unit or Maritime Patrol Forces (fast boat cutters, patrol boats, and coastal patrol boats)
U.S. Coast Guard Deployable Specialized Forces (Maritime Security Response Team, Maritime Safety and Security Team, and Port Security Units)
Must also have experience in:
Night operations
Low-visibility operations
Long-range navigation
Operating small boats using Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) or night vision devices.
Instructor candidates must be able to operate a boat and manipulate boat equipment while wearing VAS.
Ability to safely plan and deliver group-paced instruction on security boat tactics, techniques, and procedures in the classroom and while underway
Ability to conduct training primarily in the operational lab environment on various small craft in all weather conditions, including cold, rainy, hot, and dry conditions
Ability to qualify with the service pistol prior to assumption of duties
Skilled in safety and operational risk management, classroom teaching fundamentals, training requirements and plans, and training scenario scripting
Three years of documented tactical and leadership experience in a maritime environment (i.e., coxswain, maritime navigation, small-boat tactical operations, and craft systems and sub-systems)
Ability to attend and complete the Crew-Served Weapons Operations and Maintenance and Crew-Served Weapons Instructor courses
Ability to complete the Personnel Qualification Standards for Line Coach (Crew-Served Weapons) and Range Safety Officer
Professional appearance and demeanor
Second Class Swimmer certification or the ability to obtain it
Valid driver's license
Class "C" commercial driver's license or ability to obtain it
Ability to pass medical, physical, and drug/alcohol screenings
Ability to comply with the Lautenberg Amendment
Preferred Requirements
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with curriculum design, development, and delivery
Current Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) certification to provide emergency medical support for high-risk training evolutions
