Job Description

The Training Instructor will be responsible for providing training to Inter-Con Security Personnel. Primary focus will be placed on officers assigned to the Seattle contract. The Training Manager will be responsible for managing the overall training program, implementing new training curriculums and ensuring all officers meet the training standard for the assigned contract. The Training Manager will be responsible for tracking and managing certifications and training documentation. In addition, the training manager must have an ability to instruct and manage the following courses: CPR/AED, MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior), Standard Officer Basic Training, and Washington State Guard Licensing.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree Preferred

  • Have strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively communicate information to new and current employees.

  • Have the ability to multi-task and work effectively under the pressure of multiple deadlines

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a trainer or instructor. Military, law enforcement or security-related training experience is preferred.

  • Possess a valid Washington driver's license and satisfactorily undergo a DMV records check

  • Posses a Washington State Security Certified Trainer License or can obtain one within 3 months of hire.

  • Be a certified CPR/First Aid Instructor or can become one within 6 months

  • MOAB Instructor Certification or can obtain one

  • Have access to reliable transportation

  • Must be computer literate and possess familiarity with scheduling software as well as expert-level knowledge of basic computer functions and programs to include Outlook and excel

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment physical

  • Must be physically fit and able to meet all the physical requirements of the position including climbing stairs or ladders, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds and running short distances
