Summary:

Functions in the role of expert clinician,coordinator, educator, consultant, , and researcher. In collaboration with themedical staff and nursing staff, the CNS monitors the clinical care of patientsand provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes.Incorporated within each of these roles, the CNS is a role model, patient advocate,change agent, leader, and cost-effective practitioner.

Qualifications

Education: Masters Degree in Nursing with a clinical focus.Graduate preparation must have included clinical application on the CNS rolecomponent as defined by the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Licenses/Certification: Current registration with the State Board ofRegistered Nurses and Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification. AdvancedPractice Nursing Certification

Experience: Three years clinical nursingexperience within the last five years.
