This position will be working as a field technician to fabricate and fuse HDPE plastic pipe out in the field at customer job sites. The applicant should be able to: troubleshoot and repair small industrial equipment and generators, experience with electrical circuits a plus, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic / pneumatic systems is strongly desired. Pipe fusion or welding experience preferred. Ability to work independently and frequent travel with overnight stays is required.

Essential Duties:

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, product drawings and pic ticket orders to determine materials, tools and equipment needed to complete work.
  • Fabricates and assembles product per specifications.
  • Follows quality control procedures to ensure fabricated product meets customer specifications.
  • Maintains accurate records of materials used on 'ticket"; locates and pulls required materials in inventory.
  • Maintains clean work area and equipment; follows safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials to maintain safe working conditions.
  • Operates ISCO's fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts.
  • Utilizes a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Applicant must be able to work independently at a customer jobsite. Must be able to travel to customer jobsites throughout the work week. Must be able to lift, stand, bend, and rotate repeatedly. Overnight travel may be required at times. Prefer experience as a machinist or mechanic as well as welding and forklift experience. Ability to read blueprints a plus.
