This is a 3rd shift position. 4 days on 4 days off.
Midway Crisis is a 4-bed Adult Family Home (AFH) for crisis stabilization in Eau Claire County. This program serves adult men and women with mental health and/or AODA issues to provide respite in a crisis situation. These crises may include loss of housing, medication stabilization, suicidal ideation, and grief or trauma. Midway staff assists the individual in gaining independence, self- confidence and self-respect in a safe and caring environment. Services available are defined by the needs of each individual, but may include support in medication management, independent-living skills, referral to community services, individual assessments, and 24-hour supervision.
Under supervision, the Mental Health Specialist performs work involving the recovery, support and advocacy for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma or GED Equivalency is required for the position. Related experience or credits toward a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in social work, human services, psychology or similar major is required. One year of work experience in crisis or mental health preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to perform the essential duties of the role; a motor vehicle check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record per the LSS Driver Safety Procedure is required, and ability to meet LSS auto insurance requirements.
TRAVEL: Ability to travel on day trips as required up to 25-50%, although 3rd shift rarely requires travel.
