|Working Title||Sr. Student Success Specialist|
In support of the University's enrollment, retention and graduation goals, provides direct support to African American/Black students with specific needs to navigate and succeed in higher education. Implements and Delivers programs and services that enrich the academic, cultural, and social needs of Black students at UNM.
This position is responsible for working on projects such as the Black Cultural Conference, Welcome Back Bbq, supporting a mentoring program, advising student organizations and developing a service learning/research project. In addition, they will support overall department program goals by providing input on program development (including data), delivering presentations/workshops, and sitting on university and community committees to support Black student success. Occasional grant writing might occur with this position.
This position requires occasional evening and weekend work, but is always shared with advance notice. The position will also be trained as a respondent support specialist for students navigating the UNM Office of Equal Opportunity.
|Conditions of Employment|
Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
