Base Wage

$46,704.00 per school year

*annual wage will be pro-rated based on start date and/or full-time/part-time status, base wage is contingent upon the employee actively working the full year, unpaid days off will adjust wage for that specific pay-period.

Primary Function

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for diagnosis, identification, evaluation, and remediation of speech and language skills as related to educational factors of pupils with oral, language, voice, fluency, and auditory acuity disorders.

Primary Duties

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  1. Determine student eligibility for speech and language services (administer academic testing, etc.). E
  2. Create and implement the IEP based on student needs. E
  3. Provide services to students per the IEP. E
  4. Assess progress of students towards IEP goals. E
  5. Facilitate meetings with applicable stakeholders throughout the IEP process. E
  6. Follow legal, organizational and contractual requirements, laws and policies (i.e.; MPS, etc.). E
  7. Ensure a secure, safe, and healthy environment. E
  8. Follow and ensure all legal, organizational and contractual requirements, laws and policies. E
  9. Prepare, complete, distribute, and/or submit required items by due dates. E
  10. Attend meetings and professional development activities, as requested. E
  11. Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all stakeholders (ex: parents, co-workers, etc.). E
  12. Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
  13. Perform other related duties, as assigned. E
  14. Be a team player. E
Required Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  1. Master's Degree in Speech and Language from an accredited college/university.
  2. Valid WI DPI Certification in Speech and Language Pathology (#820).
  3. One (1) year of experience as a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist.
  4. Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred.
  5. Strong cultural competency and interpersonal relationship skills.
  6. Able to demonstrate positive cultural intelligence with diverse groups and individuals.
  7. Excellent critical thinking, organizational skills, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  8. Excellent communication, verbal and written, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with others.
  9. Knowledge and experience with experience in using Microsoft Office suite.
  10. Transportation, valid Wisconsin Driver's license, state minimum auto insurance, and must meet La Causa, Inc. driving standards.
  11. Must be able to successfully pass criminal history background checks.
  12. Must be able to work flexible hours based on program needs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is generally performed in office, classroom, and school environments. Infrequent local/state-wide travel. Flexible hours required; as dictated by program needs.
