Acute Care Surgeon

The Department of Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School, a center of excellence in patient care, education and research, is currently recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant, Associate or Professor Level. Candidates must be board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care with a strong interest in acute care surgery, emergency general surgery, trauma and critical care. There will be opportunity for an elective general surgery practice as well. We are responsible for managing and staffing a Level 1 Trauma Center and are fully integrated with the surgical residency at EVMS. This is an academic appointment that requires successful candidates to be committed to patient care, resident, fellow and medical student education and research. Candidates will be expected to participate in the clinical practice, administrative and teaching programs at EVMS.
