Albemarle Corporation is seeking an experienced New Business Development Manager to join our Fine Chemistry Division supporting growth of our Custom Fine Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals businesses.
The New Business Development Manager will be responsible for supporting business growth by identifying and pursuing commercially viable new business opportunities as well as promoting a favorable view of our organization, its products and services. Activities include managing existing customer relationships, developing and maintaining broad contacts across the custom FCS and pharmaceutical industries, identifying and developing potential opportunities that leverage our capabilities, monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends; sales training; market research, pricing, sales and merchandising activities; sales operations and administration; and developing and implementing advertising and publicity campaigns
Typically requires a bachelors' degree and five to eight years of new business development, account management or relevant experience.
Experience with Regulatory Starting Materials (RSMs) and Advanced Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's)
Experience with identifying and capturing new product opportunities
Must be able to travel 50% of the time
