Job Description
Alacriant Inc. is a Manufacturer of Stampings and Complex Metal Fabrications located in Streetsboro and Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio.
We are currently experiencing a surge in new work orders and we currently have many open positions to be filled on all shifts. Alacriant is currently seeking a Punch Operator to join our manufacturing team in the Streetsboro location. We will train the right person for this position as a first step in a new career in manufacturing.
Job Summary
Operates computer controlled punch machine to produce blanks for additional manufacturing operations or sold as is as finished flat parts. Also reads production paperwork to determine specified requirements to manufacture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Checks parts utilizing calipers, micrometers and height gages.
Loads correct program into control to run correct parts and quantities.
Measures parts effectively to guarantee conformity to print specifications.
Determines if material supplied meets production requirements.
Assigns and sets up tools for assigned jobs.
Removes cut pieces from sheet and examines for defects associated with punching, including edge quality and surface nonconformities including scratches.
Completes production paperwork including quality and timekeeping records.
Maintains a safe, clean and orderly work area in compliance with facility housekeeping policies.
Accurately create tags associated with production to identify parts produced
Performs basic setups involving pre-written programs.
Reads production paperwork to determine specified requirements to manufacture/monitor.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
