Job Summary | The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for an Inpatient Veterinary Technician to work directly with the IMC clinicians and rotating intern doctors to help facilitate quality client care and patient flow through the IMC, ICU, and ER. This is a monthly rotating night shift. Level I: Associate’s degree or higher in a technical or scientific field. Level II: Associate’s degree or higher in a technical or scientific field plus 2 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Level III: Associate’s degree or higher in a technical or scientific field plus 4 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent. Active license with the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medicine as a Veterinary Technician, OR have met all requirements to become licensed in the State of Alabama. Licensure must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. Advanced degrees may substitute for years of experience. |
