Claims Representative I – Workers Compensation Medical Only

Manage assigned workers compensation claims with supervision and guidance from the Manager.  Research and determine coverage, conduct investigations, determine compensability, evaluate exposures and liability and manage claims to conclusion.  Other responsibilities include managing file activity with diary system, ensuring proper reserving, participating in training activities, triaging of claims and other duties as directed by manager.  Must earn and maintain adjuster licensing for identified states.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field
• Prior claims handling experience not necessary but a plus
• Basic knowledge of personal computers
