Position Summary

The Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in TCW’s Engineering Solutions team, dedicated to the creation and refinement of sophisticated applications that harness the power of Generative AI and Quantitative Financial Models, with a strong foundation in Python programming. The incumbent will engage with a diverse array of Large Language Models (LLMs) to engineer solutions that can interpret, generate, and translate human language, significantly elevating the operational efficiency and overall effectiveness of our business functions.

 

This role is not only about maintaining the status quo, but also about driving operational efficiencies through the strategic application of AI technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvement and leverage automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention, and enhance the precision of our financial operations. Innovation is at the core of this position, with a mandate to explore and implement new technologies and methodologies that can provide a competitive edge and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and deploy AI models capable of producing high-quality content, forecasting trends, and facilitating data-driven decisions.
  • Integrate AI models into TCW’s existing financial systems to bolster accuracy and accelerate decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate intimately with business users to discern their needs and convert them into technical specifications.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the firm’s technology architecture and standards for all applications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering / Math / Physics, or a related field
  • Previous experience in the financial services sector
  • Proficient in Python with hands-on experience with Large Language Models
  • Well-versed in Azure Cloud Environment, Power Automate, Power APPs, and Azure ML
  • Expertise in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Competent in database management and SQL / NoSQL Big data Platforms
  • Skilled in handling and querying extensive datasets
  • A proven history of analytical problem-solving and solution development, with an emphasis on automation and user experience enhancement

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing

 

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary:  For CA based position, the base salary range is $165k to $185k  .  This is an anticipated range only.

Other Compensation:  Eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus
