Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading all sales, revenue operations and solutions consulting in the U.S. for Henry Schein One – the leader in dental software.  The leader is accountable for driving leadership, innovation and strategy that will drive sales growth and profitability in line with strategic goals. This role is a dynamic leader, responsible for scaling our sales organization into a best-in-class SaaS sales organization. The ideal leader has built up sales teams for $1B+ software businesses, with healthcare experience preferable. S/he is highly effective at leading a large, complex team, but isn’t afraid to jump in and coach and mentor the managers and reps. What you will do
  • Driving global sales team revenue production in order to meet budgeted growth targets across existing and mature businesses and new growth initiatives
  • Overseeing the sales team, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with the company’s sales strategies and objectives.
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.  This involves identifying and targeting key market segments, setting sales goals, and ensuring the team is focused on high-priority activities.  
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Providing skill training and mentoring on complex sales motions, including collaboration with legal, product presentations, juggling multiple relationships with internal teams, and quarterly sales forecasting
  • Putting in place a technology strategy and infrastructure to manage, measure and optimize a modern software sales team
  • Creating and monitoring annual performance priorities and quantifiable metrics to continually assess performance of both managers and individual contributors across the sales team
  • Coaching direct reports in sales strategy, pipeline management, opportunity management, and career planning/development.
  • Partnering effectively with marketing, product, finance, general managers, customer experience to drive collaboration as part of a team
  • Monitoring sales performance metrics, analyze data, and implement adjustments as necessary to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Conducting market analysis to identify emerging trends, new market opportunities, and competitive threats.  Developing and executing plans to capitalize on these insights. Develops and optimizes digital marketing programs that drive leads and online sales, as well as call center sales
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of Henry Schein One’s products and services to effectively sell and promote them.  Ensuring the sales team is equally knowledgeable and equipped to represent the company’s offerings.
  • Delivering a strong strategic vision for sales that is aligned with the business’s overall objectives
  • Managing the sales budget, including travel and customer-related expenses, to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
  • Encouraging innovative sales techniques and continuous improvement within the team to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Displaying a systemic approach to handling meaningful contract negotiations/deals with multiple reps at a time
Travel/Physical Demands
  • Typically 25% or less in most cases, but may be more at certain times. No special physical demands required.
Qualifications

Must have:
  • Typically 15 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 7 or more years of management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
  • Experience leading multiple and diverse teams
  • Strong business sense – an excellent understanding of costs and benefits and an ability to use that understanding to prioritize activities.
  • Analytical – demonstrated experience tracking core business metrics and driving decisions based on that data.
  • Organized – able to keep multiple balls in the air and to deconstruct complex activities into their component parts, tracks those parts, and manage activities to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to take complex information and succinctly and effectively communicate both in verbal and written formats.
  • Team Player – able to work cross-functionally, build partnerships, and share knowledge.
  • Sales senior leadership experience within the health care industry
  • Able to motivate by communicating vision and strategy and creating a shared purpose
