Job Summary
The Office of Engagement and Event Planning is currently accepting applications for the position of student worker. This position assists the Office of Engagement and Events with logistics of HCOB events.
Essential Functions
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Set up, replenish, and tear down food service stations: Utilize & maintain hospitality equipment to arrange/assemble beverage stations that include brewed coffee, water, soft drinks, etc.
  • Manual labor involved: set up and breakdown of tables, chairs, linens, etc.; Light cleaning of event spaces and catering kitchen after events, lifting/moving of up to 30 pounds
  • Help ensure that all spaces are returned to default setup and in excellent condition after each event.
  • Report any misuse of space or damage to the HCOB Event Coordinators or Engagement Manager
  • Serve as HCOB onsite representative at various events held at the HCOB
  • Assist HCOB Event Coordinators and Engagement Manager with event and guest coordination, promotional items, and day of logistics
  • Must be available for evening and weekend events as needed
  • Possess above-average problem-solving and communication skill
  • Easily adapts and handles high-pressure situations and deadlines
  • Arrives promptly for shifts, dressed in business casual attire, present a professional appearance and enthusiastic attitude
  • Other event duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled as an Auburn University student.
Preferred Qualifications
Pay Rate $11.00 - $14.00/hour
