The Salesforce Technical Architect will work along the full development lifecycle, including configuration, customization, and implementation. You will work in an agile environment with other developers, product owners, designers, test engineers, and functional SMEs to deliver various Salesforce requirements and best practices. You will work closely with the customer and team to solution around new capabilities or features to support the mission.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Architet, you will provide a deep expertise in a subject area and work within an engagement team to identify the organization’s needs, define the business or technology architecture, plan how large projects will be delivered, oversee the solution design and implementation, manage the progress of the team and activities, and confirm work products meet our client’s quality standards.  

 

The Salesforce Technical Architect’s duties may include: 

  • Client Service: Advise client on leading practices and technology/industry trends, application/integration architecture, solution design, and implementation leading practices. Build lasting relationships through day to day interactions with key client managers and staff.
  • Delivery: Bring the functional/technical experience and knowledge to deliver solutions which allow clients to achieve their business strategy. Present technical alternatives and supporting recommendations aligned with the client's business and technology requirements. Contribute to project estimating, planning, contracting and staffing activities. Manage technical and/or functional teams to design, build, test and implement enterprise applications. Anticipate, raise, and resolve issues which pose risk to the project. Monitor progress and quality. Track and report status.
  • Guide the team on requirements, be a coach for best practices and understand the Salesforce product offerings in detail
  • Holds the responsibility for the technical direction, and implementation of the project
  • Responsible for reviewing and determining the readiness of user stories
  • Translate the business requirements and map them to Salesforce product features
  • Work on an agile delivery team with other developers, product owners, designers, test engineers, and functional SMEs
  • Work directly with the customer to iterate on requirements and product feedback
  • Support briefings and updates for non-technical audiences and senior leaders

Qualifications

MINIMUM

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline 
  • At least 7 years of professional services or technical consulting experience
  • At least 7 years Salesforce configuration and consulting experience
  • Client facing and project management experience
  • Deep understanding of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Portal/Communities, Marketing AppExchange Knowledge and deep knowledge in several AppExchange packages
  • Functional testing development
  • Ability to design Enterprise/Large Scale solutions for Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience (Community) Cloud.
  • Must be able to design the integration solutions using middleware and APIs, for example, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica.
  • Experience with the Lightning Framework on force.com & JavaScript frameworks, and design patterns.
  • Has a deep understanding of Salesforce products, customisation, development, and integration into other systems.
  • Can identify risks associated with development, included scalability, performance, or security issues.
  • Understand limitations of the Salesforce platform, especially where large data volumes are concerned.
  • Must be able to lead and devise the best approach for the data migration phase of large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have stakeholder management skills, responsible for governance
  • Must be a US citizen

PREFERRED

  • Salesforce certification(s)
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps technologies and tools, including GitHub
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and consulting skills
  • Experience working with DOD or military IT systems
  • Experience working with human resource systems
  • Active Secret Clearance
