The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Manager of HR Technology to our growing Human Resource division in Seattle, Washington.  In this role, you will provide leadership, organizes the strategy, validates, and maintains the technology solutions across the HR organization. Ensures that initiatives meet data integrity, security, and operational precision as required by the business. You will also manage operational aspects of People Technology systems (HRIS, LMS, ATS) and ensures that technology solutions align with McKinstry’s People Strategy. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:

  • HR/People technology roadmap is finalized (and updated annually) and published, well maintained, and well governed on an ongoing basis; working in close partnership with People team SLT.
  • Act as a systems subject matter expert during evaluation, recommendation and implementation phases of People/HR technology solutions.
  • Build strong working relationships with IT to include Workday (and all People systems) system administrators, business technology and other partners in IT/bus.
  • Lead and coach the HRIS Workday team ensuring accuracy and timely completion of work.
  • Drive cross functional collaboration with HR leadership, business leaders, and IT professionals to align the Workday platform to realize McKinstry’s People Strategy.
  • Technology solutions implementations are prioritized appropriately to support the overarching HR roadmap.
  • Continuously improve and evolve Workday (and other HR systems as appropriate), ensuring that initiatives meet required data integrity, security, and operational precision.
  • Partner closely with leaders of other People Technology systems (HRIS, LMS, ATS) to ensure that Workday and those other technology solutions align with McKinstry’s People strategy, values and people-first culture.
  • Act as lead and spokesperson for all things pertaining to HR/People systems.
  • Lead efforts to stay current on technology that allows us to operationalize, our people functions including
    • Ensure Artificial Intelligence capabilities are integrated into HR systems and processes, as appropriate and aligned with overall IT and AFI/People strategies.
    • Oversee the building of a user-friendly and comprehensive knowledge base for McKinstry staff to manage common HR inquiries.
    • Lead (or oversee leadership of) various HR system-related projects (and misc.) as assigned.
  • Build strong relationships and high level of credibility with key SLT, CSU and IT leadership.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • 5+ Years of Workday systems configuration experience required; Workday Pro Certification highly desired.
  • 7+ Years of experience in Human Resources highly desired.
  • Demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a senior level Systems Administrator required.
  •  2-3+ Years of experience leading a team required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Sciences, Human Resources, or related degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • General knowledge of IT processes required.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and delivering projects required.

The pay range for this position is $110,300 - $190,700 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
