$18.47 hourly.  Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.  Central Area/Cocoa/Travels Countywide.  Work schedule is variable to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.  Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the general maintenance and repair of the mechanical and power driven equipment used in water and wastewater treatment plants, solid waste plants, transfer stations and/or lift stations.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Two (2) years of experience in the mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial, mechanical equipment.  Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must posses a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.  Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license with airbrake endorsement and maintain said license and endorsement during the term of employment.  In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
