MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with two years of related work experience and must successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
· Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certification within three months of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills and must possess knowledge of the principles, practices, trends and methods of recreational sports operations and programming in a community setting. Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to Department, Town, County, State, and Federal policies and procedures also required.
Skills in: Initiative and decision-making; verbal and written communication; supervision, leadership, and interpersonal relationships; basic financial methods of recreational programming; outstanding customer service to a diverse population; administrative functions; time management, meeting deadlines, responding to internal and external requests in a timely manner; the use of standard office equipment, computers, and various software programs; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community; conflict resolution; handling controversial issues; comprehending instruction, correspondence, and policies and procedures; problem solving; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR, First Aid, and AED to level of certification.
Environmental Factors: Work is performed inside or outside a standard recreational facility environment. Work may involve competing demands, and performing multiple tasks.
Physical Factors: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift storage boxes and sports equipment of 20lbs or more.
