Summary: At South Lake Pediatrics our PCA's, CNA's, MA's, and LPN's perform at their highest scope. We offer extensive training and a wide variety of daily duties and are willing to train in all areas of patient care. This position may travel to any of our five locations as needed: Maple Grove, Plymouth, Minnetonka, Children's West (Minnetonka) & Chaska, with a "home" work site located closest to the employee's home. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Rooming patients and obtaining vitals, health histories, and medication review
Assisting clinicians with administrative duties
Lab testing - complete in-house testing and send out lab specimen preparation
Injections
EKG’s
Spirometry
X-rays (requires MDH certification - South Lake Pediatrics offers training to complete the Limited Scope certification)
All duties assigned based on PCA, MA, or LPN scope of practice
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
PCA - Must be willing to complete Medical Assisting program within 18 months of hire
CNA - Must have current Nursing Assistant certification.
MA/LPN - Successful completion of a Medical Assisting program - OR - Must have current LPN licensure in Minnesota
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Work Schedule Daily 8 hour shifts, flexibility to cover evening shifts (Mon-Thur) until 6:30pm as needed, and Saturday morning rotation approx. every 4-6 weeks. Benefits
