Job Description:
The Airborne Maintenance and Integration Division within the Defense Group at Leidos is seeking Program Managers (PM) located in Manassas, VA to assist in the management of program cost, schedule and performance for the integration of Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) platforms. The PM is responsible for day-to-day operations, management, and execution in a high-pressure environment and must deliver outstanding products/services under tight deadlines and constraints.
As our operations must frequently respond to rapidly developing requirements at short notice, the successful candidate must have fast-action problem solving skills and be capable of identifying creative solutions while remaining compliant with Leidos policies and procedures and with contract requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role the Program Manager will participate in the execution of program activities, interface with the senior levels of the organization, consult with customer and leadership personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensure conformance with program and project task schedules, costs, and contractual obligations. Primary day-to-day interface between functional areas; engineering, production, and logistics.
Monitor status of engineering, integration, and logistics activates
Prepare briefings for senior level leadership and In-Process Reviews
Perform technical review and approval of Service Purchase Order and Non-Purchase Order payment requests
Provide oversight of Purchasing Card (P-Card) use to include review and approval of P-Card packages
Actively participate in working groups with other senior staff to resolve problems and implement process improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of relevant prior experience
Two (2) years supervising or leading teams/projects
Knowledge and experience in in the airworthiness certification process with US military and/or Federal Aviation Administration
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (CONUS)
Experience with MS Project, Office, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an IC, military, or other Government environment performing in a related subject area (e.g., project management, A-ISR operations, intelligence education/training, etc.)
Expert knowledge and experience in in the airworthiness certification process with US military and/or Federal Aviation Administration
Experience in contractor owned and operated aircraft flight operations and management
Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives
An active Program Management certification
