Job Description

Summary

UNIT SUMMARY: Hall 2 is 50-bed long-term care/memory care unit that offers resident daily activities along with a wide range of services and support. Hall 2 promotes a home-like environment and strives to make the life of its resident meaningful, safe and comfortable. Staff members must be compassionate, motivated and dedicated to helping others in need.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the residents are met; assists in the orientation of the supervision of nursing personnel; and attends to the daily operations of the unit on a per shift, unit level, and assumes responsibilities of a leadership role as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field; License for Practical Nursing; American Heart Association CPR Certification. Basic computer skills; Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, EKG Machine, Specialty Bed Operation. Less than one year of experience.
