Primary Function

Working from CMM Work Requests, self direction, work procedures or other written, verbal or electronic instruction, perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical duties to maintain production equipment and facilities in a safe, clean and efficiently operational manner. Adhere to procedures and prepare and maintain records, in either written or electronic form, regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance and housekeeping. Assist other personnel as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

In maintaining equipment and facilities for the Chiller Products Business Unit, a Multi-skilled Maintenance Mechanic is required to perform and obtain knowledge and working experience, but is not limited to, the following duties:

1) Read, interpret, understand and work from drawings, sketches, schematics, CMM work requests and other written, electronic or verbal instruction.

2) Work with a variety of raw and synthetic materials.

3) Operate various tools and equipment to move, manipulate, install, maintain, diagnose, dismantle and repair machinery, equipment and facilities.

4) Maintain required records.

5) Certified Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent education and experience.

6) Entry Level Skills, written and/or oral testing required.

7) Advanced training, education and testing for higher pay grades.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers the following compensation features:

  • Base Rate of pay $25.37

This position also offers a guaranteed $0.50/hr increase every 6 months until equal to contract rate of pay. This position also receives defined contractual increases of $0.50/hr every year through 2020.

This position also offers a $3,000 new employment incentive payable at $1,000 after successful completion of probationary period (90 days), $1,000 on 1st anniversary and $1,000 on second anniversary.
