As a Case Manager you will provide case management services and housing intervention to families and individuals experiencing homelessness. In this role you will work with families and individuals to improve the quality of individual lives, strengthen family functioning, and educate for more effective community living.

• Bachelor's degree in human services or equivalent experience in a human services field required.
• Knowledge of counseling theory and techniques; chemical dependency treatment, physical or sexual abuse treatment required.
• Knowledge of Harm Reduction and Housing First Model.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, positively, and professionally with participants, providers, family members, and others.
• Able to promote a positive, supportive, and collaborative atmosphere.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Previous experienced working with low-income families and those experiencing homelessness preferred.
• Social Work License preferred but not required

• Other special training, licenses, or certificates, if any, required to qualify for the position

• Training in working with low-income families and those who are homeless desired. Knowledge of related issues in chemical dependency, mental health, parenting, sex trafficking and domestic violence is desired.
• Experience required to qualify for the position
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in providing direct or in-direct social services required.
• Must share in Housing Services philosophy:
• People who are homeless, who use drugs and who may live with a mental illness can successfully keep and maintain their housing.
• Housing is a right. No one should be denied housing for any period of time because of failure in treatment or for failing to choose treatment.
• People should be met where they are at and offered housing immediately.
• Harm reduction strategies are a valid and preferred way to work with long-term homeless populations.
• Housing and services are two separate areas with separate criteria for operation and evaluation. Housing should never be used to coerce people into services they would otherwise not choose.
• Full community integration will be a primary goal.
• Consumers make their own choices.
• Recovery from mental illness is possible.
