Job Description

Small privately held metal stamper and fabricatrator seeks a maintenance technician to be part of our team. The maintenance department supports all production machinery and helps with general building maintenance.

Work schedule would be 10 hours Monday - Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays (max would be two weeks per month). We would let the candidate set his or own regular schedule as long as he or she works 10 hours a day. There are abundant opportunities for voluntary overtime on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The maintenance technician performs maintenance and repairs for ATACO; this includes heavy and light equipment work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Performs routine maintenance on ATACO's property.

* Repair and maintain production machines such mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses, brake presses, welders, CNC machines, and forklifts.

* Assists with construction activities on company owned property.

* Erects, removes, repairs and maintains signage throughout the property.

* Maintains equipment and tools used in performance of duties.

* Assists other departments as needed.

* Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Requires a broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance as may be acquired in two years of a formalized program including blueprint reading and interpretation, plus three or more years of related work experience, or any combination of the above. Extensive work experience in a metal stamping facility, or other industrial or military environment.

Well qualified individuals will have experience with the following:

* Forklift repair

* Troubleshooting lighting

* Welding

* Using a torch

* Electrical work

* Reading electrical schematics

* Hydraulics

* PLC

* Carpentry

* Milling Machines

* Drill presses

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to perform some prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, observing, climbing, balancing, and lifting, carrying and moving objects 80 + lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee must have ease working at heights or in press pits of 5+ feet in depth and practice proper and safe operation of both light and heavy equipment and tools.
