Mechanical Engineer

STV is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our (MovableBridge)
Transportation and Infrastructure division in our Newark, NJ office. The qualified candidate can also work out of any of our Northeast offices (i.e. NYC, Lawrenceville, NJ, Harrisburg/Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA.

Key responsibilities will include the design and inspection of mechanical systems for heavy movable structures. This position will be responsible for the technical design of new and rehabilitation of bridge control system (Relay/PLC Logic), MCC layout, bridge control desk layout, generator sizing, general bridge power distribution and conduit system layout. Experience with NEMA, AASHTO and AREMA design requirements related to movable bridge mechanical engineering is desired.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Candidate will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 11 years of experience with movable bridge mechanical work
• PE license is required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software, Microstation, and Microsoft Office.
