The Role

We are looking for an innovative senior content developer and technical writer to architect, plan, author, and deliver customer-facing digital content—including but not limited to integrated tutorials, videos, guides, help, conceptual overviews, known issues, and release notes— for a wide range of RMS software products. You will use analytics tools, such as Mixpanel and Google Analytics, to understand how customers engage with your content and drive continuous improvement. To be successful in this role, you will be organized, innovative, and obsessed with customer success.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a demonstrated ability to plan and build effective, user-friendly, and delightful digital content using a variety of tools and methods. They will also be hands-on with the product, comfortable working with highly-technical, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will:

• Plan, develop, and deliver technical documentation, video, and web projects for a wide range of software applications.
• Choose the best content format for the target persona (document, video, web, etc.).
• Analyze user data to better understand your users and drive continuous improvements.
• Own the entire documentation pipeline, including planning, content design, writing, editing, testing, and deployment.
• Translate SME information and product capabilities into clear, effective content that target personas can use with ease and delight.
• Ensure clarity, consistency, and quality across all content deliverables and formats.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, product managers, and key stakeholders to oversee the user experience from feature conception until launch.
• Clearly communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale during the planning phase.
• Improve processes, methods, and tools for how content is created, delivered, and maintained.
• Work with remote and local teams to meet critical project milestones and deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, UX Writing, Computer Science, Information Design, or related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years professional experience documenting and creating content for enterprise software products 
• Demonstrated ability to write to a highly technical and specialized audience using appropriate industry concepts and relevant terms
• Experience in authoring topic-based help
• Experience in single-sourcing technical writing methodology
• Experience using and documenting databases and related topics
• Understanding and fluency with HTML
• Experience creating instructional videos or other video content (Camtasia, Captivate etc.)
• Experience with agile processes and technologies (standups, sprints, Jira etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience documenting RESTful APIs (OpenAPI, Swagger, YAML etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience using CSS, JavaScript, or other Web technologies
• Experience documenting and creating content for SaaS software products
