Job Description
Amazon is seeking a high-judgment, self-motivated, and intuitive communicator to join the North America Internal Communications team for Amazon Logistics (AMZL). The position will provide support for AMZL associates, managers, and leaders by providing strategic communications counsel to cross-functional partners, advocating for employees, and crafting clear, factual messages for a wide range of complex issues and changes. The ideal candidate will insist on the highest standards, dive deep into details, have a strong bias for action and sense of ownership, distill information to find common threads between projects, and be energized by juggling priorities. They'll keep composure in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity and changing tides, be able to quickly get up to speed on complex issues, anticipate employee questions/reactions, and quickly prepare thorough messaging strategies.

Core Job Responsibilities:
* Craft strategic communications around various changes to the employee experience;
* Develop processes for ongoing issues management, identify emerging topics, and develop strategic communications plans to mitigate potential issues before they occur;
* Look around corners and monitor trends to spot emerging topics and develop proactive plans;
* Create and maintain toolkits, processes, and messaging databases for global partners and other areas of Employee Engagement;
* Create and manage messaging repository, including an FAQ to support managers with hot topics
* Ensure change-related topics are communicated to the right audiences at the right time;
* Create tracking and reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility;
* Partner with other areas of Corporate Affairs like PR and Public Policy;
* Prepare internal messaging (often on-call) and manage approvals with various audiences;
* Exercise extremely high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes;
* Earn trust, provide sound counsel, and effectively communicate with a wide range of internal stakeholders;
* Think and communicate clearly - formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative to express it;
* Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it's outside the scope of the job
* Work hard and smart



Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Crisis Management, PR, or related field
* 5+ years of communications including issues/crisis and change management experience
* A track record of effectively owning process creation, management, and improvement
* Experience building robust communications around major topics/announcements
* Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues and create a concise and well-written narrative
