These responsibilities include reconstructing and resurfacing county and town highways, removing snow and preventing ice accumulation, installing signs, maintaining and repairing department equipment, performing welding tasks for equipment, issuing permits to install driveways on County Trunk Highways, providing emergency assistance, and supporting other county departments in completion of special projects when needed.
The department is recruiting for Summer Laborers to help with the busy construction season from May through August 2020. Summer Laborers play a vital role in the safety of other workers and the public by directing traffic safely through road construction sites and performing some general labor work.
