Job Description
Acara Solutions is looking for Technical Manager for our client located in Charlotte, NC-Coordinate certification, audit activities and databases, and lead staff and subcontract auditors. -Authority and responsibility for evaluation, review, and certification decision for the Industry schemes (BRCGS, IFS, SQF)-Technical contact with scheme owners (BRCGS, IFS, SQF)-Monitor scheme owners technical KPI (key performance indicators)-Ensure compliance with WQS Quality Management rules, certification, and international regulations-Ensure impartiality and absence of conflict of interest during certification, audits and training processes-Address non-conformities with WQS staff and subcontractors ensuring corporate compliance-Evaluate and achieve quality goals-Review and approve quality documents as necessary-Report the performance of certification activities to the immediate supervisor-Provide technical support to staff, subcontractors and regional offices-Monitor regional offices performance related to certification activities-Investigate and conclude appeals, complaints and recalls-Develop certification requirements and activities with the immediate supervisor and quality leader-Interface with all departments-Maintain the competence of auditors, inspectors, and technical reviewers including witness assessments-Attend conferences, meetings and seminars as necessary-Process employees’ performance assessments for quality and suggest promotions if applicable-25-30% travelling.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years' post qualification full-time experience related to the food industry in a technical, professional or supervisory position.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • English and Spanish speaker and writer (Portuguese is desirable)

  • To set and manage goals of processes and employees under supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Physical ability to work at least 40 hours a week
