Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure regular contact with the customer to maintain positive working relationships and open communication

  • Manage and implement the development of manufacturing and supply chain systems that drive improvement in operation rate
  • Ensure IFOTD by effectively working with the team and ensure material availability, process capability and efficient labor utilization.
  • Ensure standardized visual management systems are implemented and update via employee engagement.
  • Ensure all reporting and auditing requirements are meet by contributing to the certification and training of TS16949.
  • Review, analysis and understand daily production issues, e.g. downtime, parts, etc. and ensure preventative measure are initiated and appropriate actions implemented
  • Manage stock holdings to ensure reduction in WIP and for product group.
  • Ensure materials requirements reflect the daily bill plan
  • Ensure data integrity through adequate stock control systems
  • Participate in new launch team to ensure effective project management of materials and logistics requirements
  • Drive a cost effective Logistics, assembly and manufacturing process.
  • Develop and manage an effective product group budget.
  • Develop and drive the product group cost reduction improvement plan to achieve cost saving targets.
  • Develop strategy and methods of inventory control
  • Proactively report on customer and supplier trends (monthly)
  • Work with suppliers to develop plans to ensure they achieve in full and on time delivery
  • Manage the formal Risk Assessment process and participate in the investigation of incident/hazard identification process.
  • Be an advocate for environmental initiatives, including effective recycling, reduction/elimination of waste to landfill/environmental contaminants. Ensure adequate induction and training of all employees and compliance to OHS&E systems.
