JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

This position is in support of the JSF Program with essential functions in product development and manages technical tasks completion. The right candidate will also analyze, design and develop software enhancements and new modules. They will lead or execute development from initial design through testing while providing technical direction. This role also provides technical leadership and guidance to less experienced staff.

• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in technical task ownership
• Designs, develops and modifies programs, including prototypes.
• Researches product development options and provides analysis for product direction.
• Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into project objectives. Provides support regarding product development to internal departments.
• Manages and directs four to five software developers. Evaluates employee performance, sets expectations and goals for department and individual staff members, recruits, disciplines and trains staff.
• Creates related documentation

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. or may be a 4/10 schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is not required for this position. This can be subject to change with notice to the employee.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant degree.

Minimum 10 years of experience as software developer.

Preferred Education

Master's degree in computer science or other relevant degree.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must have an active Secret clearance (or higher).

Must be a US Citizen
