Union Pacific is seeking self-motivated and passionate summer interns to gain valuable experience in the fields of marketing and sales. Start "Building America" from day one. A Marketing & Sales internship will be an opportunity to put technical skills, business knowledge and leadership to immediate use through meaningful projects supporting key business objectives. You will finish the summer having gained transportation, supply chain and industry knowledge and transferable skills such as persuasive and critical thinking skills, data analysis and communication and presentation skills. You will also have extensive contact with peers (networking and social activities) and engagement opportunities with senior leaders, including the opportunity to present your summer project to a panel of executives.

Accountabilities
  • Complete special project over the duration of the internship
  • Work closely with manager on a daily basis to ensure project progress and support broader efforts of the team
  • Learn and perform core department business group's strategic and tactical work flows, processes, and customer services
  • Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts across the company, including the opportunity to attend Union Pacific's annual Marketing & Sales department conference
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
  • Exceptional organization AND prioritization skills
  • Basic time and project management skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and a motivated self-starter
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
  • College credit equivalent to 2 years toward an undergraduate degree by the time you begin employment
