The George Washington University's Center for the Advanced Study of Human Paleobiology (CASHP) is inviting application for a post-doctoral scientist position. The position will work closely with CASHP faculty member W. Andrew Barr, focusing on projects that bridge paleoanthropology and paleoecology.

In collaboration with the Principal Investigator, this role will participate in the planning of independent research, will analyze and interpret data, will publish results, will represent the university at conferences and meetings, and may develop new theories and methodologies. This position will also help the Principal Investigator lead and direct the work of research staff, graduate, and undergraduate students.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Qualified candidates will hold a Doctoral degree in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree and who have demonstrated their ability to conduct and publish their research.

• Knowledge of R and/or Python, and a desire to apply coding tools to a range of questions in paleoecology and paleoanthropology is preferred.
