Logistician, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze the development and implementation of logistics plans that affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow. Analyze the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies to achieve required delivery times and order fill rates. Maintain appropriate records, prepare reports, and coordinate logistics activities with internal or external customers. Apply expertise in the particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Plan, conduct, and supervise assignments under general supervision, review progress, and evaluate results. Plan and assign personnel to given projects or tasks, assist with the review and evaluation of personnel performance, apply organizational policy, and recommend changes in procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with defense life cycle logistics support for electronic systems, including logistics management, principles, practices, and processes and DAWIA certified in Life Cycle Acquisitions Logistics Level 1 or 8+ years of experience with defense life cycle logistics support for electronic systems, including logistics management, principles, practices, and processes

-4+ years of experience with support Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems

-Experience with analyzing engineering or systems management data, developing logistics plans and procedures, and developing logistics management plans and guidelines

-Experience with Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and other logistics tools, including ICAPS, TDMIS, PARTS, ERP, WEBFLIS, OneTouch, and JETDAS

-Ability to develop and update Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and Allowance Equipage Lists (AELs) in Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS)

-Ability to develop, submit, and track Provisioning Contract Control Numbers (PCCN) in ICAPS

-Ability to use the Joint Electronics Type Designation Automated System (JETDAS) to develop and update type designations and nomenclatures

-Ability to adapt to excel in a culture with a high degree of ambiguity

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the DoD or Department of Navy (DON) preferred

-Possession of excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-Current Professional Logistics Certification, including Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Life Cycle Acquisition Logistics Level 1 or related logistics training
