Let Us Power Your Potential

Taylor Corporation is a dynamic, diversified company with big plans for the future - and your career. We power our employees' potential and strive to create opportunity and security for every member of the team. If you're ready for something bigger - more challenge, more variety, more pathways for professional growth - we should talk. We're passionate about our work, we believe there is always a better way, and we're looking for people like you.

Ready to reach your potential? It's time to look at Taylor.

Your Opportunity: Taylor Healthcare, a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking for a Technical Writer (editor/writer/knowledgebase coordinator) to assist in the development and maintenance of a library of procedure-specific informed consent materials.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Research informed consent topics and write or edit consent form text related to procedure descriptions, risks, and alternatives. Synchronize and coordinate a document's text with other similar topics. An editor manages a library of topics and must maintain their relatedness.
  • Tag documents with a variety of metadata as appropriate (CPT codes, keywords, topic families).
  • Write at a 6th grade reading level.
  • Decide topics to include in the library (or exclude) on a specialty-by-specialty basis.
  • Work in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as a proprietary content management system.

You Must Have:

  • Four-year degree and/or commensurate hospital or other clinical experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills - word processing, internet research, and an understanding of database concepts
  • Exceptional organizational/analytical skills (required to keep the library synchronized, organized and consistent) - this is more important for the position than creativity
  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability, especially pertaining to changing processes

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Ability to speak/read in Spanish
  • Familiarity with software development concepts
