The Production Supervisor will supervise and lead one or multiple assigned production departments, includes assigning work, encouraging team involvement, completing the performance management process for all operators, scheduling work, ensuring needed equipment is maintained and purchased and developing and following the department budget.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage department schedules to ensure timely completion of all customer orders
Collaborate with upstream and downstream process owners to reduce scheduling conflicts
Ensure equipment is maintained and departmental supplies are stocked
Coach team members through the problem-solving process to identify problems, develop and implement solutions (Ex: reduce setup time, eliminate bottlenecks in process, and reduce downtime/scrap due to poor quality)
Build trusting relationships with team members and colleagues thru collaboration and a drive to be the best in class
Perform quarterly and annual performance management processes for all direct reports
Train team members on procedures, methods, prints, programming, quality requirements, team methods and safety
Educate team members and ensure accountability of all plant and department safety requirements
Resolve employee relation issues through effective remediation techniques while partnering with the Operations Management and Human Resources
Work with Operations Management to develop budget and attain/exceed budgetary commitments
Work with Quality Management team to build quality into the processes by developing procedures and implementing tooling to improve production processes and overall product quality
Complies with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:
2-3 years of team lead/ supervisory experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment
Associates degree in related field or relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred). Relevant experience may substitute for education.
Experience with Oracle or any other ERP systems
Effective communication and motivational skills
Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and other production and scheduling tools
Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience
Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
Flexibility and agility in an ever-changing environment
Consistent attendance and punctuality
Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Stand and sit for an extended amount of time
Sit in front of a computer monitor for an extended amount of time
The ability to walk throughout the production floor daily
Working in and/or around loud machinery
The ability to manage repetitive motion
