PURPOSE OF POSITION: Coordinate operations of events/ and sponsorship relations for Deer Valley Resort.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Events/Sponsorships
- Coordinate and assist in the production of all public guest activations and special events taking place at Deer Valley, including, but not limited to, summer concerts, beer fest, large private events, FIS World Cup, non-profit and community activations and events, sponsor activations and athletic events in cooperation with sales, banquets and mountain operations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute on-site activations that will elevate the guest experience.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and communicate with all Deer Valley Resort departments in the production of special events.
- Serve as initial point of contact and cover event functions in manager's absence.
- Assist with internal and external coordinators of special events/promotions.
- Assist with fulfillment of company partners'/sponsors' assets and deliverables.
- Work closely with various resort business units to successfully and cooperatively execute and support where needed.
- Draft reports, event recaps, event rollouts and proposals as assigned by the manager.
- Update event section of Deer Valley website with Senior Digital Marketing Coordinator weekly or as needed.
- Miscellaneous event projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and represent the company in a professional manner with guests, athletes and sponsors.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant work experience preferred.
- Ability to facilitate strategic dialogue and problem-solving across multiple departments.
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and building new relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience in Office 365.
- Flexibility in work schedule and job duties are required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings, as necessary.
- Intermediate level of skiing ability a minimum requirement as skiing to events and providing tours will be required from time to time.
- Organize and prioritize large volumes of information.
- Routinely deal with confidential and sensitive information.
- Work independently on special non-recurring projects.
- Assist in covering for other staff members on a short-term basis (i.e. site inspections, Fams, vacations).
- May also be recruited to work shifts in other areas of operation (i.e. Food and Beverage, Guest Services) during peak season.
- Attend weekly marketing staff meetings.
PAY RATE:
- Pay: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
