Position Overview


The Sr. Project Manager supports the mission of OCHIN by providing project leadership for any assigned project, possibly including third party vendor implementation, Epic enhancements, and internal technical projects. Project Managers scope, plan, oversee and document all aspects of multiple concurrent projects with varying degrees of complexity within the organization. This role regularly consults with upper management to ensure the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, collaborating across the organization for support. Project Managers work closely with project champions and owners to achieve successful project execution and assist with resource management of cross-functional teams.


The Senior Project Manager also regularly mentors and coaches less experienced employees in aspects of the profession such as leadership, methodology, and tools, and may be called upon to assist on complex projects or projects requiring intervention. This position may be called upon to evaluate performance and identify PM-related training needs and/or tool enhancements to ensure the effective application of project management and leadership principles.


Essential Duties

  • Conduct training if requested to teach many of the skills-both hard and soft-that are required for the successful planning, execution, delivery and support of projects and their products or services
  • Provide regular coaching and mentorship to other team members
  • Mentor, Coach and Train less experienced Project Managers
  • Lead and participate in process improvement efforts
  • Identifying and developing project management tools and other process improvements, and leading and participating in process improvement efforts
  • Build communication strategies and plans to support each project including Identifying relevant stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • For HCCN, Develop and manage the process for submitting all HRSA required reports related to the HCCN to meet compliance requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (Healthcare, Health Informatics preferred) or a combination of college education and 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • 4,000-7,000 hours leading and managing projects, and 20-25 hours of PM Education preferred
  • Candidates with CAPM, PMP, and/or Epic certifications will be given preference
  • Minimum 5 years of Acute Inpatient experience required
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in complex project management, preferably in a healthcare and IT setting
  • Proven success in internal and external communication and relationship management with all levels of expertise from administrative to executive ?
  • Experience working with fully remote project teams and leading projects to successful completion is required ?

Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
