Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented junior Securities Pricing Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, and data modeling, and have a keen interest in financial markets. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our investment decision-making process and gain valuable experience in securities pricing within the asset management industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Securities Pricing: Accurately price securities across various asset classes on a daily basis using quantitative models and market data; coordinate extensively with pricing vendors like ICE Data Services, Pricing Direct, and Markit, among others, to resolve pricing discrepancies.

  • Data Analysis and Modeling: Utilize Excel, SQL, and Python to analyze financial data, develop and maintain pricing models, and support investment decisions.

  • Market Research: Conduct research on market quotes on Bloomberg, analyze market trends, pricing methodologies, and valuation techniques to enhance pricing accuracy and efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers, pricing vendors, clients, custodian banks, and other stakeholders to gather insights and inputs for securities valuation.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to 40 Act funds, and assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of pricing processes and methodologies, leveraging technology and data analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience, preferably in asset management or financial services

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python

  • Experience with data modeling and familiarity with financial databases and tools

  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Commodities, and Currencies is a plus

  • Knowledge of 40 Act Funds is a plus

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Salary Range: $ 82,000.00 - $ 88,000.00
