Overview

Our Corporate Communications team has a fantastic opening for someone who is early in their communications career. In this role, the Communications Specialist will be a storyteller, creating written and visual content for a variety of Waters corporate channels including our intranet, newsletters, Waters.com blog, etc. This candidate will also be supporting the planning and operations for the communications team & various employee engagement programs throughout the year. It is a great opportunity to gain exposure and experience across all disciplines of communications.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative superstar who is passionate about storytelling to collaborate with key stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer who is tech savvy and a self-starter who is willing to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

    Ideate, research, and interview employees to draft blogs for the company intranet
  • Coordinate/upload content across the Waters intranet homepage & brand pages to maintain a balance of relevant news, information, tools, and resources
  • Bring your own ideas to the table to ensure we connect, inform, and engage our audiences
  • Support quarterly Town Hall meetings and the annual Waters Enterprise Awards program with planning and operations tactics and logistics
  • Miscellaneous corporate communications tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in communications, journalism, English or relevant field preferred
  • Recent college graduate or early career with up to two years' experience
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as journalistic mindset

  • Strong written communication skills, ability to communicate succinctly & simplify the complex

  • Strong level of comfort with a variety of technology platforms including Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, WordPress, & Smartsheet. Experience with Photoshop or other digital creative tools a plus.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to actively listen and synthesize information

  • A problem-solving and growth-oriented mindset

  • A proven ability to understand, simplify, and effectively communicate complex information

  • A love of all thing's science

  • The demonstrated ability to wisely prioritize and reprioritize work

  • Enthusiasm for digital technology and the desire to keep pace with new developments #LI-Hybrid
