Summary:
Provide a single point of contact for a single IT Service Management process, responsible for planning and coordination of day-to-day activities required to carry out, monitor and report on the process for which they are responsible. Make changes in the process as required, and manages the process end-to-end so as to ensure optimal overall performance. Responsible for managing all process documentation and supporting all enhancements to the process. Partners with the Technical Subject Matter Experts to provide process requirements for building or modifying tools that support the process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Responsible for the ITSM Configuration Management process and how it functions within ServiceNow using CMDB Discovery, IT Operations Management, and ServiceNow CMDB integrations.
  • Be able to effectively communicate, present, and work with Leadership, Business users, and Technical teams on Application Services, infrastructure CIs, and how they map together.
  • Maintain data integrity of CMDB though documented process monitoring and consistent follow-up with users.
  • Regularly create, train, and provide process documentation and be responsible for training the Configuration Management process throughout the organization.
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting of all configuration items (Service, Applications, and Devices) within the CMDB as needed.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in related technical/business area plus 0-2 years of experience in IT. 3 years additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the design, development and maintenance of one of the processes and related procedures within the ITSM Lifecycle.
  • Assists with the planning and management of support for the process and for the toolset supporting the process
  • Assists with coordinating interfaces between ITSM process and other service management processes
  • Assists with the monitoring of the effectiveness of the process and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Assists with the production of management information through the definition of CSFs and KPIs for the process within area of responsibility
