POSITION DESCRIPTION
Creates a plan, budget, and schedule to supervise the maintenance, operations and repairs of T-1 processing equipment and ancillary equipment
Defines goals and objectives for maintenance personnel, measures and manages results to demonstrate success
Communicates with Division GM and Ops Manager on trends, needs, and related actions to maximize efficiencies and minimize operating costs and downtime
Provides input to annual capital budget for facility upgrades, maintenance, and new processes
Responsible for determining maintenance budget(s) and successfully managing monthly cost compared to budget
Deals with authorized vendors and contractors for outside repairs, pricing, parts, permits and to secure equipment
Manages inventory of replacement parts to minimize downtime related to equipment issues and/or failures
Manages the mechanical integrity program as part of PSM (Process Safety Management)
Schedules and assigns maintenance employees in repair work
Supervises the building or re-building of specialized equipment
Audits facility and work areas for adherence to safety codes and regulations
Interviews prospective employees for shop operations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree preferred, in science or engineering
Minimum of ten years of industry experience
Previous leadership experience in a technical manufacturing and/or processing related industry
Thorough knowledge of the maintenance, operation, and repair of all types of related equipment (i.e., scrubbers, hoods, forklifts, etc.)
Good knowledge of repair costs
Ability to plan and delegate work to others
Ability to act responsibly in an emergency situation
Ability to work well with others
Resourcefulness, reliability, sound technical judgment, and initiative; commensurate with the demands of the position
