Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Network/Comms Product Owner to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Prioritize and validate network development, including updates and patches, in collaboration with the Communications (Comms) team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms; provide guidance to the development team.
• Develop and validate acceptance criteria for network tasks and user stories.
• Ensure system network security by collaborating with the Cyber team to maintain a hardened cyber posture.
• Work with Program Management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint.
• Conduct technical briefings and demonstrations, and provide advisement to leadership.
• Report on project status, including recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) mission.

Required Experience:

• Have a Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,
• Have 7 years minimum combined Government/DoD experience performing the abovementioned essential duties.
• Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including IPv4 and IPv6 addressing.
• Know about Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Broad understanding of Army tactical radios and RF technologies.
• Ability to work directly with Agile software development teams to meet deadlines and achieve program objectives.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of defense systems such as IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
• Ability to champion ideas, architectures, and designs with enthusiasm and independent critical thinking.
• Strong team attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience using JIRA/Confluence.
• Possession of Security+ certification.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Certification as an Agilist.
