Job Description:

Job Summary: The HR Project Manager plans, directs, and implements a range of HR programs related to HR management, employee development, and customer service to ensure that HR programs enable the organization to achieve its long-term goals

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Management 80%

  • Drive the execution of HR-related projects and programs
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Analyze existing human resources processes, identify gaps in current systems, and lead resolution projects.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and lead project team members, including HR professionals and external vendors.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues and risks.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Completes special HR projects as assigned.

Administration: 20%

  • Tracks, monitors and reports on HR program and project progress to ensure successful execution
  • Develops and reports on HR metrics as required.
  • Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, and reports.

Qualified Experience and Training:

Education:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree business, human resources or other applicable field from an accredited university; or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in business, human resources or other applicable field from an accredited university

Experience:

Required

  • Ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience in areas such as employee relations, performance management, talent development, or other HR centric areas
  • Excellent communication ability required, both written and oral across a variety of subject areas. Demonstrated ability to turn thoughts and concepts into reality.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations. Demonstrated coaching skills. Demonstrated project management skills. Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment law, and HR regulations.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in Aviation or Helicopter Industry

  • Conduct studies of selected Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep the company abreast with current practices and informed of new developments.
  • Partner with region wide HR team to harmonize processes and procedures across AHI
  • Leverage technological savviness to support the business, implement new processes, drive employee engagement and Lead innovation and creative problem solving to champion change management initiatives

Job Dimensions:

  • Complete assigned projects using independent decision making
  • Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee engagement.

Nature of Contacts:

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent follow through skills and the demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite or remote: 50% of the time this position must be worked onsite at the Company location.
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings daily.
  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms daily.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts daily
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 25lbs/11kgs daily
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 25lbs/11kgs daily
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools daily
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer daily
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving occasionally
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice occasionally.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces daily
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor at all times.

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
