Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineer, Software is located in Overland Park, Kansas will modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.

*Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

  • Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.

  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

  • Determine system performance standards.

Skill requirements:

Requires experience in each of the following:

  • Developing Angular applications using TypeScript and JavaScript; utilizing Node, NPM, and NodeJS to manage webpack dependent projects;

  • Developing, designing, and implementing highly performant microservices that integrate with Salesforce, payment domain services, and leveraging AWS technologies, including Redis and S3;

  • Integrating mockups with AEM components based on wireframes, including sightly code with mockups and mapping to the Sling model class in backend; creating components, templates, pages, authoring and services on AEM for business portal to be authored by content implementer for managing dynamic content;

  • Utilizing Apache Sling, JCR, HTL and servlets to write and deploy backend services and AEM templates, components, experience fragments, content fragments, workflows and Sling Services using Sling models and OSGi bundles;

  • Working with containers and Docker for Simplifying Configuration and Code Pipeline Management, AWS, PCF, Apache Mesos and Kubernetes to deploy applications for migration to different environments; and

  • Working with Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Influx DB, Google Analytics, new relic, and App Dynamics to keep track of systems in production and to build dashboards for error reporting.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Management, or related and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Management, or related and 3 years of relevant work experience.
